Interim Chairperson: Zoe Smith.

Zoe is a wife and mother of two. Her daughter Marianna is part of the Just One theatre school. Zoe is also an Assistant Director of Music at The Royal Welsh College Of Music and Drama. Zoe is highly dedicated to achieving charity status for this organisation, and raising funds for the good of the JOTA community. Whilst she is looking forward to introducing Marianna to all of the musicals she enjoys, her favorite is Half a Sixpence and pssttt Zoe has a secret crush on Charlie Stemp.



Interim Secretary: Abi Hogsden.

Abi is a Wife and mother of three. Her oldest daughter Grace is also part of the Just One Theatre School, Abi also has baby Ivy waiting in the wings ready for the start of her Just One education. Professionally Abi is a qualified Learning and Teaching Support Assistant specialising in 1:1 support. Abi is fully committed to making the Friends of JOTA a success. More of a fan of films, Abi really wishes she was in the “corner” waiting for Johnny to rescue her and dance to the time of her life.



Staff Representative Committee member: Kelley Phillipart.

Kelley is a Head of Year and Drama teacher at Hawthorn High School. She Looks after the Drama side of things at JOTA and bring’s the specification of the school setting to the studio. She can also at times be found bringing chaos to reception. Kelley has seen JOTA grow and evolve, and is now also dedicated to seeing the growth of Friends of JOTA.  Her aim is to help raise funds to provide the same opportunities for all, regardless of any financial restraints, and to keep watching the students grow and be inspired. A self confessed Sci-Fi nerd, and lover of all things Marvel, Kelley also has a liking for vampires, her celeb crush being Aleaxander Skarsgard.

We need you……

With the majority approval vote, Interim Chairperson Zoe and Interim Secretary Abi, are looking for further members to join the committee of the Friends Of JOTA. The main role we are looking for is that of Treasurer.

“The overall role of the Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the organisations financial affairs, ensuring its viability and that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.”

Whilst anyone can put themselves for this role please give thought to the qualities and skills preferred…..

  • Experience of Financial control and budgeting
  • Experience of fundrasing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to be contacted on an Ad Hoc basis
  • Ability to make sure decisions are taken and followed up
  • Good time keeping


We will also be hoping to add a few more members to the committee to ensure that the running of Friends of JOTA is smooth, fair and effective. We will always look to get as many Friends of JOTA to assist the committee when we have fundraising events coming up.
