About Us

PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL - Dance/Sing/Act

We provide exceptional sessions in Dance, Singing and Acting. Our instructors consist of current industry professionals, experienced ISTD registered teachers and QTS Teachers. All our teachers are fully insured and hold a current DBS. We also Have a team of registered Chaperones who look after our students needs when not on site. Our teachers are invested and committed to maintaining our 100% examination pass rate across all examination boards. Each student has the opportunity to take Ofqual accredited examinations in each of our core subjects singing LCM, ABRSM, dance ISTD, GCSE and acting LAMDA. They also have ample opportunity to cement their knowledge by taking part in the many performance opportunities  we provide throughout the year.

ADULT CLASSES

We deliver exceptional adult classes catering for all abilities, Beginner - Advanced level. Including Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Actors workshops.

PERFORMANCE TEAM

At JustOne we encourage teamwork . There is no better opportunity to practice this great skill than performance and competition. We have a special team who represent our studio who are aged 5-18. We hold yearly auditions for this team and we encourage all our students to try out.

  Keeping students safe is our highest priority, Now with J1VS we can continue to deliver a high quality online equivalent in the event of local or national lockdowns.

STUDIO RENTAL

All our studios spaces are available for rental. We have 2 studios perfect for small dance classes and private lessons. We also have a music room equipped with piano and full size spit guards available for hire. Contact our team for more information.

Justin is a graduate from Bodywork Performing Arts in Cambridge. In his first year he was awarded the Theresa Kerr principal scholarship, he went on to be awarded the musical theatre scholarship for 2 consecutive years. He remains ever grateful for the opportunities this support created.

Justin has performed professionally for over 20 years and has had many contracts in the U.K. and overseas including ‘Singin' in the rain‘, ‘Manhattan Nights’ 'Fame' U.K. tour. T.V. Credits include the ‘National Lottery Live’ and ’Copacabana’. Justin has also performed as a Singer,  Dancer, Company manager and Dance Captain on many cruise lines including P&O Cruises (U.K.) and Carnival Cruise lines (U.S.A.) He has also been lucky enough to perform in major events in Doha and Dubai.

In addition to his extensive professional performance resume, Justin has taught: Jazz, Tap and Musical Theatre. He has done this for many full time performing arts courses around the country, including Bodywork Performing Arts on their full time Musical Theatre course.

​

His extensive teaching and professional experience in performing arts eventually led him to return to Cardiff and become the director of two major dance studios in South Wales.

​

 He is truly passionate about the arts and has a great ability to bring out the best in others. Justin has trained many students who have been accepted into the top performing arts courses around the U.K. and beyond.

Jacquelyne has been teaching dance and performing arts for over ten years. Jacquelyne attended the London School of Contemporary dance, ‘The Place’, on their Centre of Advanced training course and completed her teacher training at Dance Academy South West.
Jacquelyne has a Diploma in Dance Education in Imperial Classical Ballet from the ISTD. As well as Imperial Classical Ballet Jacquelyne has trained in RAD, Cecchetti and Vaganova technique. Jacquelyne has been teaching classical ballet at JustOne Theatre Arts since its studios opened and is immensely proud of the 100% Distinction/Merit pass rate of all its ballet exam candidates.
Jacquelyne is a certified teacher for Progressive Ballet Technique and specialises in holistic ballet training and injury prevention. Additionally, to this, Jacquelyne is also a qualified Yoga instructor. Jacquelyne uses her yoga instruction to complement her ballet teaching. Giving her unique insight into how using alternative training alongside classical ballet can refine and tone a dancer’s muscles and technique whilst also avoiding injury and burn out. 
Alongside her teaching at JustOne theatre arts Jacquelyne is a session leader for Flamingo Chicks; a charity who provide inclusive ballet classes for students with additional needs. Jacquelyne loves using her skills as a dance teacher to facilitate learners of all abilities to grow as dancers and performers. 
In 2012 Jacquelyne graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a Bachelor of Music Degree. As a performer Jacquelyne has sung leading roles in both Opera and Musical theatre. Her favourite roles include Maria in Vivo D’Artes production of West Side Story, Li in Welsh National Youth Opera’s production of Kommilitonen and Juliette in Pocket Opera’s production of the Little Sweep.

Kelley is our in house Drama and Theatre Arts practitioner, who is our head of academics at JustOne Studios. For almost 2 decades, Kelley has been working heavily within the education sector, developing and nurturing performing arts training in schools and in the private medium. Qualifying with QTS in 2005, Kelley has helped train many students who have been accepted on to exceptional performing arts courses or continue to work professionally in the arts sector. It is her job to oversee and ensure a robust delivery of the academic areas of study.

While still working within the education sector Kelley is also freelance and has worked with a range of organisations that help hone and develop skills and confidence in young performers. She has worked with a wide range of exams boards, for a variety of training sectors, and has guided students through the complexities of them.

She also provides one to one training as well as group workshops for those who are interested in developing new skills, returning to the arts, audition preparation and presentation skills. Kelley considers learner wellbeing paramount and so will craft tailor made confidence building and assertiveness courses for those who require such.

 Directing a plethora of productions and group projects over the years, Kelley intends to continue teaching and workshop facilitation while growing old ungracefully.

Nicole Boardman professional opera, classical singer and singing teacher, based in Cardiff. Originally from Liverpool, she is currently training on the Masters of Music vocal degree course at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. 

Nicole’s previous performances include Cover and Chorus in the Welsh National Opera’s production of ‘Dead Man Walking’ in the Welsh Millennium Centre, 2019. She has also played the ‘Child’ Role and Chorus in Sir Bryn Terfel’s production of Tosca, in the Abu Dhabi Palace 2019. Nicole was the soloist for Iain Burnside’s English Song Festival 2018, Contralto cover and chorus for the National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company Tour 2017, 2018 and 2019, the Alto in Brahms’s Liebeslieder Quartet for the Cardiff Singer of the World Lunchtime event in the Dora Stoutzker Hall 2017 and Soloist for Rachel Podger’s Badinerie and Brecon Baroque Festival.

She has sung the Alto soloist for Mozart’s Requiem in Llandaff Cathedral and Alto soloist for Vivaldi’s Gloria, both under the BBC National Chorus of Wales Conductor, Adrian Partington. In 2016 Nicole was Adult Soloist in the Welsh National Youth Opera’s Summer Showcase of ‘Game Over,’ ‘The Maid’, in St. John’s Passion, under Owain Arwel Hughes CBE, and Alto soloist for Llandaff Cathedral Choral Society’s ‘Christmas Oratorio’ in December 2017.

Nicole has been a singing teaching in South Wales since 2016 and holds a 100% pass rate with the Associate Board for the Royal Schools of Music exam board, teaching the styles of Musical Theatre, Classical, Folk and Opera.

Carys is a recent graduate from The Hammond School of Performing Arts, achieving a level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre. Dancing and performing from a young age Carys has a wide range of training covering all genres of dance including, Jazz, Street/Commercial, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary and more. 

Carys has ISTD Intermediate and advanced qualifications in Modern and Tap, along with Intermediate qualifications for RAD in Ballet.

Currently Carys is studying to for the ISTD Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) qualification in Modern and Tap.

Carys is passionate about sharing her love for dance, through teaching at the JustOne Theatre Arts Studio where she hopes to inspire her pupils just as she once was… “ a Starry-Eyed girl who dreamed of being on the stage.”

Natasha is former high level gymnast who has been able to train in the UK and Canada as well as compete internationally. After her gymnastics career ended 9 years ago she decided to coach. Coaching gymnastics very quickly lead her into the world of acro. From then on she spent half her time coaching gymnasts and half coaching dancers teaching them proper form, technique and presentation of gymnastics to dance (acro). Natasha enjoys coaching both as she was a gymnast for so many years, being able to give back what she was taught was so special.

 Natasha’s goal to give every athlete at every level her best knowledge and her full attention, helping them succeed and be the best they can be. Natasha is also and experienced crossfit trainer. She uses her crossfit experience as an athlete and a coach to carry over conditioning and strength exercises to her current teaching methodology
